The web site and tools are very basic. If the book needing to be printed fits what they offer it is a good, fast, affordable service.

We have printed our customer software documentation using this service on an on-demand basis. As others have pointed out the shipping costs for small orders can be relatively high, but are not at the extremes posted in other reviews. Since we don't allow orders through their web site, we must order for shipments to our facility and then ship to customers. The shipping costs many times are more than the cost of the books. What it costs us to ship to our customers is usually more than what we have to pay TheBookPatch.

We have had issues updating books. The web site does have a review option and one must take advantage of that to insure that your changes actually were accepted. Fortunately, we caught and fixed any problems before printing.

Our recommendation is to always create a new version of the book and not update an existing version. Once the new version has been created and is known to be correct then the old version(s) can be easily deleted.

In summary, I would recommend The Book Patch to a friend.
